I’ve built a fulfilling life in Leduc with my fiancé, Rodney, and our beloved pets, Clover, Charlie, and Khloe. My vision for Leduc is simple: a welcoming, thriving city where every family has the opportunity to succeed and feel valued. I’m committed to shaping a future where Leduc continues to grow in a way that benefits everyone, and I invite you to be part of that journey.

A Lifelong Commitment to Leduc

Leduc has been my home for over 27 years, and my connection to this community runs deep. My passion for giving back started in childhood through volunteering and has grown into a lifelong commitment. Over the years, I’ve dedicated more than 150 hours to local initiatives—whether it’s community clean-ups, fundraising events, or supporting causes that make Leduc a better place.

Business Experience & Community Involvement

As a small business owner for eight years—including two years operating and working at a brick-and-mortar store—I understand the challenges and opportunities local businesses face. That experience, combined with my involvement in municipal government, has given me a clear perspective on what’s needed to support sustainable growth. I’m committed to working alongside businesses, organizations, and residents to strengthen our local economy and community.

Shawn’s Commitment to Leduc

Leduc has been my family’s home for 28 years.

I’ve seen Leduc’s incredible growth firsthand—from the development of Leduc Common to new schools, thriving neighborhoods, and a growing public transit system.

I’m running for City Council because I want to help Leduc continue to grow and thrive. My goal is to strengthen local businesses, enhance public services, and ensure economic growth while fostering inclusivity. I believe in an open-door policy, where every resident has a voice in shaping our future.

If elected, I’ll work to make Leduc a place where families can build lasting memories, businesses can thrive, and residents feel proud to call this city home.

Priorities as Your City Councillor

    • Be present, accessible, and engaged with residents.

    • Strengthen relationships with neighbouring municipalities.

    • Invest in local markets, businesses, and services.

    • Advocate for policies that help businesses succeed.

    • Work to expand affordable housing options.

    • Improve existing units and update bylaws with a family-focused approach.

    • Upgrade pedestrian crossings and accessibility features.

    • Secure funding for a West Campus Rec Center to serve our growing community.

    • Enhance the downtown core for businesses, parks, and recreation.

    • Improve public spaces to create a more vibrant community hub.

    • Work with municipal boards to approve and sustain the Urban Agriculture Plan (UAP).

    • Support non-profits, volunteers, and community groups to keep Leduc’s culture thriving.

    • Continue programming with FCSS and RCMP to keep kids and families safe.

    • Collaborate with Leduc County to find tax solutions that don’t overburden residents.
